Cords and OH&S

In a workplace cords and cables for your devices need to be well maintained otherwise accidents can happen. Here somethings you'll need to look out for and how to fix/avoid them (every issue needs to be reported):

Loose insulated wire- can cause electrocution if not careful- need to be repaired with electrical tape or removed and replaced

Crowded Sockets- can overload a socket and cause fires- only have the devices you need at the time plugged in and use other power points if available.

Cord on floor- can cause tripping hazard- use a nearby power point if possible or tape the cord to the floor.

Cords and water- can cause serious electrical harm to those nearby- turn off power and remove safely, call a electrician for help.
